This policy describes how WestCar Media, LLC handles information through westcarmedia.com and its hosted website. It applies to this website; external publications, social platforms and other services have their own policies.

Information you provide

Our contact form collects your name, email address, optional company or organization, reason for contacting us, message and submission time. We use this information to review and respond to your inquiry, manage business communications and prevent abuse. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

Our newsletter form collects your email address, optional first name and company, signup source, subscription time, consent status and timestamp, policy version and subscription status. We record opt-outs and their dates. We do not ask for birth dates, demographic details, home addresses or phone numbers. Please avoid sensitive personal information and confidential creative material in free-text fields.

Website delivery and security

Our hosting infrastructure processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, which may include IP addresses, request times, browser/device information and security logs. Our form abuse controls use a short-lived, cryptographically transformed network identifier rather than storing raw IP addresses in our inquiry or subscriber records. These rate-limit records expire after 10 minutes and are removed during subsequent requests.

Cookies, preferences and analytics

We use browser storage to remember your privacy choices and a first-party consent cookie, wc_analytics, that expires after six months. Preference storage contains your choices and the date of your decision. Essential hosting or security technologies may also be used to deliver the site.

Only after you enable Analytics do we count page visits, broad traffic-source categories, engagement with selected sections, successful forms and outbound link clicks. These daily aggregate counts contain no email addresses, names, persistent visitor IDs, full referring URLs or cross-site profiles. Analytics is off by default and stays off when a supported Global Privacy Control signal is detected. We do not use advertising pixels or optional functional cookies.

You may Cookie Preferences at any time. You can also clear browser storage. Disabling analytics does not prevent contacting us or subscribing. This version does not embed third-party social feeds or video players; following an external link is subject to that destination’s privacy practices.

How information is used and shared

We use submissions to respond to requests, maintain voluntary subscriptions, honor opt-outs, protect the site and improve our services. Authorized personnel and service providers processing information for these purposes may have access. The site uses Sites hosting and Cloudflare infrastructure, including a private database. We may disclose information as required by law, to protect rights or security, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell website contact or subscriber information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention and security

Inquiry records older than 24 months and aggregate analytics older than 13 months are removed during subsequent contact processing. We retain subscription information while your subscription is active. When you unsubscribe, we clear the optional name and company fields and retain the minimum email, consent and suppression history needed to respect your choice. Hosting logs and backup copies follow provider retention schedules.

We use encrypted HTTPS connections, server-side validation, access-controlled database storage and abuse controls. No security system can guarantee absolute protection. Authorized administrative access occurs through the hosting platform; the public website does not provide a subscriber or inquiry directory.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may unsubscribe online, use the unsubscribe link in a future marketing email, or contact inquiries@westcarmedia.com. A general contact inquiry or a repeated signup does not automatically restore an opted-out subscription.

You may ask to access, correct or delete information you have provided by emailing us. We may need to verify the request and may retain limited information for legal obligations or to maintain suppression. If California privacy laws, including the CCPA, apply to WestCar and your request, you may have additional rights to know, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive information and receive non-discriminatory treatment. We do not use this website to sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising. We honor supported Global Privacy Control signals for optional analytics.

Children and updates

This business website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and remove it as appropriate. We may update this policy as the website changes and will update the effective date. Material changes may require a new consent choice.
